Galactic Conflict: I Restore the Glory of Humanity Chapter 1109 The Cursed Legion Attacks

Play Speak

Marcus took a deep breath, and the air mixed with the smell of burnt metal and blood filled his lungs.

He slowly raised his rifle and aimed the crosshairs at the compound eyes of a samurai bug.

This would be his last battle, but he wanted every bullet to take out a Zerg.

Just as the trigger was about to be pulled, the whole world suddenly stopped.

The roar of the insects, the breathing of the soldiers, the hum of weapons, all sounds disappeared.

Marcus was shocked to find that the white mist he exhaled solidified on the inside of the mask.

In the distance, a leaping knife worm hovered in mid-air, the acid it sprayed as still as bubbles in amber.

Then, space tore apart.

A bright golden crack opened up in the center of the battlefield, and the dazzling light made all the Marines close their eyes involuntarily.

Marcus saw through the gaps between his fingers that the torrent of psychic energy gushing out of the cracks was like liquid gold. Wherever it passed, the reinforced concrete buildings collapsed like sand castles.

A twenty-story building collapsed in the golden light, but the collapsed fragments turned into golden dust before they hit the ground.

What is even more shocking is that this destructive psychic power turns into a gentle warm current when it comes into contact with humans.

Marcus felt warm fingers brushing against his wounds, and the damaged power armor emitted a self-repairing hum in the golden light.

The Zerg were not so lucky. The moment the huge golden psychic energy touched them, these horrific creatures twisted and melted like wax figures thrown into a steel furnace.

The indestructible shells of the samurai bugs vaporized in the light, and the swarm of knife bugs turned to ashes amid silent screams.

"Emperor above..." New recruit Royce fell to his knees, his voice trembling and almost inaudible.

The space crack continued to expand until it spanned the entire battlefield.

From the dazzling golden light, figures stepped out one after another.

With every step they took, the real space groaned as it could not bear the heavy burden, and golden psychic lightning exploded wherever they stepped.

The first warrior to come out was three meters tall, with an everlasting flame burning on his golden armor.

The surface of the finely crafted MKIII power armor is engraved with ancient runes, and liquid psychic fire flows in every groove.

The helmet was in the shape of a terrifying skull, with dazzling golden light dancing in the eye sockets.

When he raised his right arm, the psychic lightning wrapped around his power claws directly vaporized several knifeworms that had escaped the net nearby.

"For the Emperor!"

The war cry was like thunder, instantly awakening the dazed Marines.

More golden warriors marched out from the light, forming a perfect wedge-shaped attack.

Each warrior's armor was different, some adorned with ancient victory wreaths, others inlaid with badges of honor from the Great Crusade.

But all the armor was bathed in sacred golden flames, and the shoulder armor was uniformly engraved with the symbols of the sky eagle and skull.

Marcus noticed one detail - these warriors had no shadows.

Their figures appear translucent in the sunlight, as if they are between reality and illusion.

The most chilling thing about them is the way they move: despite wearing heavy power armor, they move as silently as ghosts.

"It's... it's a Space Marine!" Carlson on the side suddenly shouted excitedly, "The Emperor's Angel of Death!"

As if in response to his shout, the leading cursed warrior turned around.

The golden skull mask stared directly at Marcus, and even through the mask, the sergeant could feel the ancient power in that gaze.

The warrior nodded slightly, then raised the burning power sword and pointed it at the swarm.

The attack began.

The psychic storm created by the cursed warriors' charge swept across the entire battlefield.

Every swing of their power weapons unleashed a wave of golden energy, annihilating whole swathes of Zerg in the light.

One particularly large warrior ran right into the group of executioners, ripping a behemoth in two with each swing of his lightning claws.

The yellow-green insect blood was evaporated by the psychic flames on the armor before it even hit the ground.

Marcus was shocked to see that these fighters didn't even need to dodge.

The acid bullets fired by the gunworm were blocked by the golden force field a few meters away from the armor, and the bone blades of the knifeworms could not even leave a scratch on the armor.

What is even more terrifying is their weapons. With just a swing of an ordinary chainsword, golden psychic energy can instantly burst out, and wherever the psychic energy passes, the swarms of insects fall down like straw.

The situation on the battlefield reversed in an instant.

The Zerg Overlord let out a shrill scream and tried to reorganize its formation, but the cursed warriors seemed to have anticipated it.

Twelve warriors armed with specially marked bolters opened fire at the same time. Golden energy beams intertwined into a web in the air, enveloping the Overlord and its guards.

In the psychic power that was enough to purify the planet, this terrifying existence that commanded hundreds of millions of Zergs disappeared before he could even utter a scream.

The remaining Zerg began to flee as the node creatures were killed, but the Cursed Warriors did not give them a chance.

The leading warrior raised his sword high, and all the members of the Cursed Legion suddenly turned into golden streams of light, shuttling through the battlefield at a speed beyond the laws of physics.

Wherever they passed, only vaporizing Zerg debris was left behind.

When the last knife worm turned to ashes in the psychic flames, the cursed warriors lined up again.

The golden flames began to fade from their bodies, and their figures gradually became transparent.

The leading warrior took one last look at Marcus, and there seemed to be some ancient sadness in his eyes beneath the skull mask.

Then, as suddenly as they had appeared, the angels of death vanished in a shower of golden ash, leaving behind only the corpses of the insects and the stunned Marines.

Marcus took off his damaged helmet tremblingly, letting the cold air hit his face. Only then did he realize that his face was covered with tears.

In the center of the square, where the cursed warriors had stood, the golden psychic flame was still burning.

In the flames, a huge skull emblem could be vaguely seen, which was the most sacred symbol of the human empire.

"Emperor, am I dreaming..."

Sergeant Marcus' voice was so quiet that it was barely audible. His fingers unconsciously loosened and the empty rifle fell to the broken ground with a clang.

The surviving Marines around looked at each other, and each blood-stained face was frozen with the same shock and awe.

The new recruit Royce even forgot to close his mouth, allowing the cold air mixed with the smell of gunpowder to fill his lungs.

“Those…are really…”

Carlson tried to say something, but his voice caught in his throat.

His mechanical prosthetic eye was still constantly adjusting its focus, as if he couldn't believe the scene he had just recorded.

At this moment, the entire planet suddenly shook violently.

"What happened again?!" Marcus instinctively grabbed the fallen rifle, looked up at the sky, and then he saw the most shocking sight of his life.

In low-Earth orbit, a scarlet psychic storm exploded like a supernova.

The light was so blinding that the soldiers on the surface had to raise their arms to shield their eyes.

Space itself groaned as if it could not bear the weight, and the darkness between the stars was torn apart, creating a bloody crack that spanned the sky.
