Play Speak
Chuxia lived alone, and Bronya and the other two stayed in this room for a while just in case. As expected, the suspicious Zijing arrived.
It took a lot of effort, and Amethyst even asked the school principal Theresa to personally guarantee it, before Bronya, Rosalia, and Lilia let down some of their guard and allowed him to enter the dormitory - of course, he was under the close surveillance of three pairs of eyes the entire time.
Chuxia's bed was near the window. When Zijing looked over, she saw a small figure curled up in the quilt, revealing only a delicate face. Her black hair was scattered on the pillow. She closed her eyes, and her long eyelashes cast a faint shadow under her eyes. The corners of her mouth were slightly raised, with a defenseless, sweet smile as if she was immersed in a beautiful dream. She looked like an ordinary little girl who was sleeping soundly.
"Look, Chuxia is sleeping." Rosalia lowered her voice, with a little pride of "Look, you came here for nothing."
Zijing nodded calmly: "Well, it seems that I came at the wrong time." However, his eyes did not leave Chuxia. Under the cover of looking around the dormitory, an extremely faint, almost imperceptible fluctuation, like an invisible ripple, quietly spread out and covered the position where Chuxia was.
His perception was like the most sophisticated scanner, instantly penetrating the thin quilt and carefully examining everything about the girl on the bed: her vital signs were stable and strong, just like a healthy girl; her body's Honkai energy reaction was weak but pure, at the level of a good candidate among the Valkyries in preparation; her body structure, energy flow... there were no abnormal fluctuations, no hidden devices, no disguised auras, and even her mental fluctuations seemed exceptionally peaceful, like a calm lake.
Healthy, with potential, but nothing special to write home about.
Zijing was not surprised, and she had never thought that it would be so easy to find the abnormality. Although there was a certain possibility that the judgment was wrong, but... I would not remove him from the list of suspects for the time being.
Not long after, the girl on the bed woke up. When she walked out of the bedroom, she saw Amethyst, who had resolved the misunderstanding with her long experience of dealing with girls and was having a good chat with Bronya and the other two. She looked surprised.
Amethyst greeted her and their eyes met.
"Big brother, are you here to accompany me?" Chu Xia said.
"No, I just came to see you for a bit, I'll be leaving soon."
I didn't find anything when I was asleep, and it's even more impossible to find anything after waking up.
"What a shame! I wanted to have a meal with big brother..."
"We'll talk next time. I'm so sorry to bother you this time."
Watching Zijing leave, Chuxia's regretful expression gradually faded, and she smiled at Bronya and the others and said, "Bronya, what are we having for dinner?"
"Xi'er went out to bring food and will be back soon."
Bronya looked at her and couldn't help feeling a little uncomfortable, but she didn't think much about it and spoke directly.
Zijing left Chuxia's dormitory, and the corridor became quiet. He had just taken a few steps when his eyes were attracted by the shouts coming from the training ground downstairs. Several girls in Valkyrie training uniforms, about the same age as Bronya, were trying to swing their swords and dodge. He had some impression of some of the faces - they were the children he had rescued from a dark church in a Nordic coastal city. It seemed that Tianming had indeed taken them in and trained them.
He stopped and watched for a moment. The girls' movements were still awkward, but their eyes were focused. Zijing did not stop and turned to leave.
In the teaching building, the door of a classroom was open. Ji Zi's slightly hoarse but clear voice came out. Zi Jing leaned against the window in the corridor and listened quietly until the bell rang.
The students filed out. Ji Zi was tidying up the materials on the podium. When she looked up, she saw Zi Jing at the door. She raised her eyebrows, picked up the half-opened bottle of wine hidden under the podium, unscrewed it and took a sip: "Hey. How long have you been standing at the door eavesdropping?"
"Just arrived." Zijing walked into the classroom, "Good lecture."
"Just barely enough. Don't tell Theresa, I only drink this bottle of wine once in a while."
Ji Zi laughed and put the bottle back into her bag. "But, there's no need to come here for no reason. Tell me, what's the matter?"
"No big deal." Zijing approached the podium, "Tomorrow is my first day of class."
"Oh?" Ji Zi paused and looked at him with interest. "Why, are you nervous? Do you want to ask for advice from your seniors?"
"I guess so." Zijing admitted frankly, "I'm a novice after all."
Ji Zi leaned against the desk, folding her arms. "What class? Who is it teaching?"
"It's arranged by Theresa, general tactical theory for preparatory students." Zijing replied, "The specific class has not been decided yet."
"Tactical theory?" Ji Zi snorted and laughed, with a hint of ridicule from an experienced person, "Those little brats are not easy to fool. If you explain the theory in depth, they will fall asleep; if you explain it superficially, they will think you are not competent. The key is to combine it with actual cases. The more thrilling and exciting the better. It is best to add some stories about their Valkyrie idols, and I guarantee that their eyes will be wide open."
She paused and took another sip of wine, the spicy smell diffused in the air: "The most important thing is to have enough momentum! Don't be overwhelmed by the momentum of the little devils. Sometimes you have to put on a stern face and look fierce, so that they know who has the final say on the podium! Of course," she winked slyly, "for some particularly stubborn or cute ones, you can occasionally... well, teach them according to their aptitude."
Zijing listened and nodded: "I see. Thanks for the advice."
"You're welcome." Ji Zi waved her hand, "But speaking of which, Zijing...are you really planning to be a teacher? I thought you just wanted an identity on a whim."
Zijing met her gaze: "Identity is incidental. Since I promised Theresa, I will naturally do what I should do."
Ji Zi stared at him for two seconds, then suddenly grinned, and that hint of inquiry instantly disappeared under laziness and drunkenness: "Okay, Teacher Zijing. Just don't lift the ceiling of the classroom tomorrow." She waved her hand and walked out of the classroom with a slightly unsteady step.
Zijing stood there, looking across the empty classroom, imagining the teaching scene, smiled and shook her head, then went to check out other classrooms.
Zijing strolled around until the afternoon. She admired other teachers teaching and returned to the room. She saw the purple-haired girl wrapped in a quilt, curled up in her bed.
Sensing someone coming in, Xilin poked her little head out from under the quilt, looking angrily at Zijing who was laughing dryly.
"Traitor..."
"I can't help it. Alicia is at the top of the food chain... Thank you for your hard work during this period."
"Humph!"
"What do you want to eat? I'll cook for you tomorrow as compensation?"
"Humph!"
