Just as Leman Russ's fleet was engaged in a battle with the main force of the Bone Crusher, numerous jump signals suddenly lit up behind the Imperial fleet.
"Alert! Large-scale subspace fluctuations detected!"
Inside the bridge of the Frostfang, the astropath's scream made all the officers turn their heads sharply.
On the holographic tactical projection, the airspace behind the Imperial Fleet suddenly distorted, and then—
“WAAAGH!!”
Hundreds of Ork warships roared out from the Warp rifts.
These warships, welded from scrap iron, armor plates and garbage, have no aesthetic appeal but are full of brutal power.
Their bows were painted with ferocious fang patterns, and their engines spewed out not plasma flames, but green energy mixed with black smoke.
"It's the Orc raiding fleet!" Bjorn roared, "They've got behind us!"
Russ's gaze swept across the tactical projection, and his one eye locked onto an exceptionally large orc warship.
The hull of the ship was made up of the wreckage of at least three Imperial cruisers, and an exaggerated "super cannon" was installed on the bow, with an ominous green light flashing from the muzzle.
"All frigates spread out to meet the enemy! Fire freely!" Russ roared, "Don't let those green bastards get close to the Death Star!"
The Death Star, this silver-white super battle base quietly floats in the center of the battlefield, its surface covered with densely packed turrets and shield generators.
As one of the most powerful weapons in the human empire, its existence itself is the greatest threat to the orcs.
"The Death Star's shields are stable, and all turrets are fully charged." The commander of the Galactic Empire stood in the control room of the Death Star, his cold eyes swept across the holographic battlefield map, "Let those barbaric creatures see the power of the Empire."
"For the Emperor! For the Galactic Empire!" The admiral of the human empire raised his power sword, "All frigates, attack!"
The fleets of the two empires quickly adjusted their formations. The "Annihilator-class" battlecruisers of the Galactic Empire deployed a wedge-shaped array, with the turbolaser guns rotating and aiming; the "Cobra-class" destroyers of the Human Empire spread out like a wolf pack, with all torpedo tubes unlocked.
The Ork fleet had no tactics at all. They rushed straight towards the Death Star like a group of crazy beasts.
The first round of fire broke out in an instant.
The main guns of the Galactic Empire's "Annihilator-class" fired in unison, and hundreds of scarlet turbolaser beams cut through the void, accurately hitting the Ork garbage ship in the front.
The hulls made of scrap iron melted quickly under the high temperature, the armor plates were cut like butter, and the orcs inside exploded into green blood mist in the vacuum.
"Haha! Good burn!" the Galactic Empire's gunner shouted excitedly.
However, the Orks didn't care about the losses. More junk ships came from the flanks, their hulls covered with rocket boosters, and crashed into the Imperial fleet like a group of crazy space meteorites.
“CRASH ALERT!”
An Orc warship directly collided with a "Cobra-class" destroyer.
A huge drill was installed on its bow, which pierced through the armor of the Imperial battleship.
The next second, hundreds of Ork boarders poured in through the breach, the roar of chain axes and crude bolters echoing through the cabin.
"Boarding battle! The seventh deck is lost!"
The Imperial Marines responded quickly, volleys of laser rifle fire weaving a web of death in the narrow corridor.
But the number of orcs was too large. They came like a tide, even stepping on the corpses of their companions.
"For the Emperor! Fight to the death!" A Space Marine led the guards to block the passage. The roar of the grenade launchers temporarily curbed the Ork offensive.
The battle quickly extended from a clash of giant ships to a fight between carrier-based aircraft.
The Galactic Empire's TIE fighters swarmed out of the Death Star's hangar like a swarm of bees, their solar panels flickering in the starlight, their twin laser cannons firing wildly. The Ork fighters were a heap of haphazardly welded metal frames, barely flying on gushing rocket thrusters, but their pilots didn't care about life or death, and they crashed straight into the nearest enemy aircraft.
"Kill those green maggots! Damn, they're everywhere!" cursed a TIE pilot as his fighter just dodged a suicide Ork plane, but was hit on the wing by another enemy plane attacking from the side.
"Don't worry about maneuvering! Direct fire coverage!" the leader ordered.
The TIE fleet quickly changed its formation to form a crossfire network.
Laser cannon barrages destroyed Ork fighters one after another, but a few still broke through the defenses and dived towards the surface of the Death Star.
At the same time, the Human Empire's "Fury" interceptors were also hunting on the battlefield.
They are faster than TIEs and carry multi-barreled laser cannons that specifically target the weak points of Ork fighters.
"Lock the engine and fire!" The human pilot calmly pulled the trigger, and a precise beam of light pierced through the thruster of the orc fighter, causing it to spin and explode like a headless fly.
Despite the Imperial fleet's desperate interception, a group of Ork commandos broke through the defenses.
Three specially modified Ork warships headed straight for the Death Star's equatorial region. They had huge drills installed on their bows, which were obviously designed specifically to break through shields and armor.
"The shield was penetrated! The equatorial zone suffered a direct impact!"
In the Death Star's control room, alarms rang through the sky. The commander stood up suddenly, and the hologram showed that three Ork warships had been embedded in the Death Star's hull like nails.
"Send out the stormtroopers! Don't let them get close to the core!"
The death troopers of the Galactic Empire quickly assembled, their white armor particularly glaring under the red warning lights. They rushed to the impacted area with heavy blaster rifles in hand.
However, the orcs were faster than them.
“WAAAGH!!!”
Thousands of orcs poured in from the breach, their skin a dark red with excitement, their weapons in hand a variety of weapons.
From crude chainsaws to modified melta guns, and even laser cannons directly removed from Imperial battleships.
"To blow up that big iron ball!" A particularly tall orc boss waved his power claw and tore open the chests of two soldiers with one claw.
The alarm pierced the metal corridors inside the Death Star, and the scarlet emergency lights illuminated the corridors like a pool of blood.
"The defense line is established! Quick!"
Navy officers in gray uniforms wielded blaster rifles, and stormtroopers and clone soldiers quickly set up temporary shelters at the intersection of the T-shaped corridors.
A heavy E-Web blaster machine gun was set up in the corner, its barrel glowing dark red from preheating.
A veteran clone soldier knelt on one knee, a DC-15A blaster rifle resting firmly on his shoulder, the crosshairs of the holographic sight glowing blue in the darkness.
“Here they come!”
There was a harsh sound of twisting metal from the end of the corridor, followed by a deafening roar of "WAAAGH!"
The entire alloy wall suddenly bulged up, and was then smashed through by a giant green fist covered with armor.
The orc boss "Bone Crusher" Gaz stepped into the corridor dragging a giant power claw. His armor was covered with identification tags of human soldiers, and the mechanical prosthetic eye implanted in his left eye was flashing a scarlet light.
Behind him followed twenty elite Orc guards, each equipped with a melta gun and power axe stolen from an Imperial warship.
"The little bugs are hiding here!" Gaz's metal jaws opened and closed, spitting out fishy saliva, and the saw teeth of the power claws began to rotate at high speed, "Tear them apart for me!"
The E-Web blaster fired first.
The torrent of red light beams instantly penetrated the three orc guards in the front row, and the high temperature directly vaporized their upper bodies.
But the orcs behind continued to charge on the remains of their companions, and the green energy ball from the melta gun smashed into the bunker, melting the two storm troopers and their armor into liquid metal.
"Reload! Cover me!"
The clone veteran did a tactical roll and rushed out of the bunker, firing three bursts from his blaster rifle through an ork's knee.
When the opponent stumbled and fell to his knees, he pulled out his vibration dagger and stabbed it into the orc's eye socket, and light green blood splattered on the white armor. But the next second, a power axe split his shoulder armor -
"For the Emperor!"
The naval officer and five stormtroopers rushed out from the flank, and the axe-wielding orcs were riddled with holes from a volley of blaster rifle fire.
But Gaz had already rushed to the front of the formation, and swept across with his power claws. The upper bodies of the three stormtroopers slid down like building blocks, and the flesh and blood at the cuts instantly carbonized.
"Retreat to Area B! Initiate quarantine protocol!"
The surviving defenders fought and retreated, and blaster beams intertwined in the corridors to form a web of death.
The orcs' wild laughter and the humans' screams echoed between the metal walls, and blood formed floating beads in the zero-gravity environment.
With the shrill hum of machinery, the entire corridor suddenly fell into darkness.
“What the hell—” Gaz’s curse came to an abrupt end.
A heavy blast-proof door crashed down from the ceiling, dividing the orc army into three sections.
Low-temperature liquid nitrogen suddenly sprayed out of the ventilation duct, and the three orc guards were instantly frozen into ice sculptures, and then were shattered by the armor-piercing bullets of the automatic turret.
"Sly little bug!" Gaz chopped the control panel beside him with one claw, but more defensive measures were being activated.
First, the floor was suddenly electrified, and the high-voltage current burned the two orcs into charcoal. Then a rotating laser turret extended from the ceiling, accurately firing and blasting the energy tank of the melta gun. Then an automatic lasso popped out from a secret compartment in the wall, hoisted up an orc guard and injected him with neurotoxin.
"Boss! We're separated!" The screams of subordinates came from the communicator, followed by the buzzing of blaster rifles and the sound of flesh tearing.
Gaz's mechanical prosthetic eye switched to thermal imaging mode, and he and his four guards were the only ones left in the darkness.
At the end of the corridor, a scarlet light was approaching.
The hum of the double-headed lightsaber was like the whisper of death.
Darth Maul walked slowly out of the shadows, his red and black tattoos looking like flowing blood under the emergency light.
His lightsaber drew an ∞-shaped trajectory in front of him, illuminating the cruel smile at the corner of his mouth.
“Pathetic beast.”
The first orc guard roared and rushed forward. Before he could aim his melta gun, Maul had already turned into a shadow.
The scarlet arc of the lightsaber passed through the orc's neck. The moment the head flew up, the headless body was kicked into the wall by a roundhouse kick, and the spine broke into three pieces under the impact.
“Kill him!”
The remaining three guards opened fire at the same time. Maul's lightsaber danced into an impenetrable red net, bouncing the hot melt energy ball back the way it came.
When an orc's chest was melted through by his own weapon, Maul had already stepped on the wall and soared into the air, his lightsabers slashing down like scissors.
"Crack!"
The second guard's arms were broken at the shoulders. As it knelt and wailed, a spike suddenly shot out from the end of Maul's lightsaber handle, piercing its eyeballs and piercing its brain.
Gaz's power claws took the opportunity to attack, and the teeth grazed Maul's cloak.
The Force warning allowed Maul to move sideways in advance, and his lightsaber pierced into Gaz's mechanical prosthetic eye.
Amid the explosion of sparks, the orc leader screamed and retreated, while Moore had already flipped over and jumped onto the head of the last guard.
The double-headed lightsaber spun like a helicopter blade, splitting the orc evenly in half from head to crotch.
Viscera and blood splattered on both sides of the corridor like a waterfall. Moore landed lightly in the pool of blood without even getting his boots wet.
You...you are not human!" Gaz stepped back, covering his smoking mechanical eye sockets.
Moore did not answer.
His lightsaber suddenly flew out of his hand and cut through the fire extinguishing system pipe on the ceiling like a boomerang. High-pressure foam gushed out, and Maul had already used the Force to leap above the pipe.
When Gaz's vision was obscured by the foam, the scarlet blade stabbed down like lightning -
"Pfft!"
The lightsaber penetrated Gaz's forehead and came out from his jaw. Maul knelt on one knee on the orc's shoulder and slowly turned the hilt to ensure that every brain nerve was burned out.
"You have defiled this precision weapon." Maul whispered in Gaz's ear, "You will repent with your death."
He drew his sword and turned backwards, and the orc boss's body collapsed like mud. The blast door rose at this time, and twenty death soldiers rushed into the corridor, only to see the orc remains on the ground and Moore with his back to them.
Amid the buzzing sound of the lightsaber being retracted into the hilt, Maul's voice was icy cold: "Next area, continue."
On the other side, hundreds of wedge-shaped warships roared out from the jump channel.
Their armor was painted in the blue-gray livery of the Trade Federation, and the emblems on their bows glowed coldly in the starlight.
In the command tower of the flagship "Invisible Hand", General Grievous' mechanical fingers were tapping on the tactical holographic table. The four optical mirrors kept changing their focal lengths, giving a panoramic view of the entire battlefield.
"General, the coordinates of the Ork fleet have been locked." A super tactical robot reported in a tablet voice, "The Imperial fleet is exchanging fire with them."
Grievous sneered, his mechanical lungs hissing as he breathed. "Very well... Let these savage creatures learn the true art of war."
He waved his hand fiercely: "All warships, attack formation!"
The Rookery Hook-class battleships deployed a swarm array, and thousands of Vulture robot fighters swarmed out of the hangar. These cockpit-less killing machines pounced on the Orc fleet at a strange synchronization rate, covering the entire star field like metal locusts.
"What the hell is that?!" The young mechanic stared with his eyes wide open in front of the observation window of an orc garbage ship.
The next second, the Vulture fleet's ion missiles flooded the battleship.
The shock wave of the explosion had not yet dissipated, but the robot fighters had already begun clearing the escape pods with automatic laser cannons.
At the same time, the main gun array of the "Invisible Hand" began to charge.
“Fire.”
Following Grievous' order, eight heavy ion cannons fired simultaneously.
The blue-white energy beam accurately hit the command ship of the Orc fleet, paralyzing its engine system.
The giant ship that lost power immediately became a sitting duck and was torn into pieces by the turbolaser cannons of the Imperial "Annihilator-class" that arrived later.
